Nurse/Sample Collector

Locations: Washington D.C., Bethesda, New York City, Sheridan 

 

Job Overview:

Successful candidate's primary responsibility will be to collect buccal swabs and blood samples for testing according to established protocols and guidelines, keep records of sample collection, including date, time, location, and any relevant information such as identification and case numbers, properly label collected samples to prevent cross-contamination or misidentification during handling and transport, communicate with casework manager, and other involved team members to provide updates on sample collection and any issues encountered, ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and protocols related to sample collection and handling, including health and safety regulations and industry-specific guidelines. Position is flexible.

 

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse or Phlebotomist desirable

• AABB-trained sample collector desirable 

• Owns a driving license desirable

• Previous experience in sample collection or a related field may be desirable

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential

• Ability to work independently and follow strict protocol

• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently

 

Job Type: PRN, mobile or float positions

Remuneration: $35-$80/hr
